Sounds a good idea, there are a few Linux User groups still going.
How abouit we set up some sort of User group on Mastodon, a few of us to begin with then set up virtual meets, or virtual gaming (have access to IRC, Big Blue Button, and I know there are a few game servers out there)

So after a little bit of digging, I discovered @chronos@masto.chronos-tachyon.net is the creator of the fediblock site, which, consequently, has been changed to rabidblock.
As I expressed previously, I did not trust the intention of someone that did not try to work with the creators of the tag to create a viable project.
After engaging with him, I can firmly say I do not support that project.
You cannot make a community tool by talking over the same community you allegedly want to 'protect' and then leverage your poor mental health to disparage and insult one who brings up that fact.
Be very cautious engaging with anyone from that project because they are not acting in good faith.

As I have made some blog posts for the world cup fixtures, I decided to add the LGBTQ flag to the posts to show support for the community.

Someone asked us to look at a new(?) bank that has apparently been advertising in #Australia lately, namely macquarie.com.au.
We couldn't access the site because it not only blocks #TorBrowser but it also goes through #AkamaiGhost servers.
It looks like just another bank that pretends to care about your privacy while going through US-owned servers.

Holy fucking shit I did it! 
I present: Firefox 3.5.9 running on HP-UX 11.11 on PA-RISC. Took some manual editing of config files to get DNS to resolve, but here we are!

I’ve not been on Mastodon long, but I am sold. Such a different vibe from other social media, especially the algorithm-led, users-as-data-points model.
I’ve had some really nice conversations with perfect strangers on here, probably more than my years on other sites/apps combined.
I’d go so far as to say, this isn’t social media—this is sociable media.
