Manual checks are still useful for when the electronic system fails.
Oddly the same thing seems to happen here, Once laws ahve passed throigh due process in the Commons and Lords, they are passed to the Monarch who signs them. (part of the role of a constitutional monarch)
This seems to be done behind closed doors though.
Did you know that Biden signed 65 pieces of legislation into law this week? If you didn’t, it’s worth asking why the media you listen to didn’t tell you that. #politics #media #bidenwins

However crossing the English channel is Dangerous, charging people £1000s for a filmy boat, helps smugglers make money from peoples desperation is a multitude of things.
We need to make it easier and safer for people to at least present their claim, so perhaps in France, and take it from there.
Open more consulate offices, so there is no need to pay gangs to smuggle people with very little (if any) regard for their life once payment is received.
Could just be ice falling down if you are defrosting a freezer.

@osjobhub Just seen this in my feed and thought about this post.
Using Open Source or Free Software is using a tool that comes with an ethical or political bent.
Using commercial software is also doing the same except that since what you are supporting is capitalism, it's like a fish that doesn't understand the concept of being in water. We don't even notice it.

'Bridge the gap' is an astro panorama shot at 14mm in one horizon to horizon spanning arc, I shot this in 2014 with a samyang 14mm and canon 6D
Was tricky to work out the mechanics of this back in the day with the gear I had available, and stitching was not easy, since worked out a lot better techniques for doing all that!
