Great news on book sales, well done and best of luck with more sales etc

Oh dear, I’ve done it again… Bookshop UK have gone out of stock on Trans Britain so here’s a most excellent alternative. Queer Lit are a fast growing LGBT+ specialist bookseller, based in Manchester and with an excellent mail order service. Their current stock of Trans Britain is individually signed by me. So if you want to read almost two dozen people’s account of modern trans history edited by me this is where to go. queerlit.co.uk/collections/non

Hitler was elected chancellor of Germany with only 43.9% of the vote.

But because the anti-Hitler forces were divided, Hitler won.

Hitler then made himself dictator and abolished free elections.

Spectacular journalism emerges from a major leak of documents showing Cyprus as a haven for shady wealth -- lately including Putin's pet oligarchs.

It's another blockbuster organized by International Consortium for Investigative Journalism, which "assembled a team of more than 270 journalists from 54 countries and one territory and provided access to the leaked records."

Seems like a normal episode of jerry springer (not that I watched that, but have seen clips) so maybe many see it as normal and entertainment.

This is your periodic reminder that chemical regulations are the result of learning about "externalities". We learn that substances are persistent, poisonous, noxious or have some other effect that we don't like and we impose regulations. To simply roll them back without thinking will complicate things for UK companies ("no island is an island") and increase health and environmental problems later. But short-termism always wins with this government. #Reach theguardian.com/environment/20

His behaviour is such that if anyone else did or said what he is saying about the judge they would go to prison for contempt of court.

Perhaps the fact this is NOT happening is the reason Trump carries on.

In schools we give choices to children regarding their behaviour, reward good behaviour but issue interventions / sanctions for negative behavior.

However you have to follow through on both, so if a child is told they will miss playtime they should do.

In the case of trump, constant threats of prison, and not following through is just empowering him to keep offending and insulting everyone.

@randahl

I am sure anyone can perform a citizens arrest, however you then need to present evidence, eventually before a judge to prove your case. Oh and to avoid perjury charges, tell the truth under oath.

So best of luck with this one.

A defendant released on a bond and placed under a gag order reposts the idea of overpowering the Attorney General of New York.

If anyone were in doubt what Trump's intentions with feeding lies to his angry mob is, here is your proof.
