Maybe it can go back to what it was built for, hosting workers from oil rigs, I think.

Or at least workers from another industry, it was fine for that as the accommodation was 1 room 1 person.

This Saga of the Bibby Stockholm is never ending. I can't wait for the last verse where it is closed, and then burnt, and then sunk, and then it is no more. The Bibby Stockholm cannot be allowed to darken anybody's shore.

Santa is a quantum being. His probabilistic nature means he can be in every house at the same time on Christmas.
This is why it's vitally important noone sees him. If he's observed the probabilities collapse and only one house gets presents.

We need more of the high quality content, and to interact with it, start conversations, the latter happens to a point. So attract users that way,

@selzero

So if we applied this to Zelenski vs Putin, it may not work out how we went given putin is a judo expert.

@selzero

Seems like a normal friday / saturday evening in some UK towns and cities.

Every #Christmas the inhabitants of Chumbivilcas (Peru) practice the festival of "Takanakuy", in which they challenge eachother to a fist fight to resolve the years conflicts... and then go out for a drink together.

If I find interesting links or content on here, I will share on my blog, e.g a link to a paper or article, I will say in my blog post it was posted to fediverse. A small thing but will hopefully also help highlight we do have interesting things going on here.

Eventually there may be a big pull. I still argue we need to be ready for the next big main stream scandle, and jump on it, to promote fedi, Not that the reinstatement of Alex Jones got that much attention, As I think the media want to avoid giving Alex Jones more attention.

So, we have Threads, well-known for lack of moderation for open transphobia, sexism, homophobia, racism and other bigotries that people would *much rather not have boosted into their timeline and by the time they've blocked, they've already seen it and it's too late*.

THIS is why Threads is being pre-emptively blocked, and not because it's a "Satanic Panic" or "leftist moral panic", as I've seen it termed in one thread.

It's self-care and self-protection.

Cop28 president says his firm will keep investing in oil theguardian.com/environment/20

While bathing in his own warm afterglow, he decides to give the world a one-fingered salute while rubbing our faces in his oily sand.

All he did was get the elephant in the room called by its proper name. But he thinks Adnoc is woolly mammoth and his ‘celebrated’ COP declaration doesn’t apply to them.

#COP28 dodged #endfossilfuels so the #ClimateCrisis continues unabated. We are so fucked.

The Israeli occupation army fabricated this picture, claiming they have abducted resistance fighters from inside the Kamal Edwan Hospital in northern Gaza and forced "to raise their arms and surrender".

After scrutiny, a trainee doctor, Nasr Imad Al-Madhoun, and a nurse working at the hospital were identified.

This is the issue, connections. Person A is connected to BCD and BCD are connected to eachother and A, so unless everyone moves, everyone loses that connection.

People also follow groups, and specific companies or services which would also have to exist here.

@zleap @aral Many have tried. I thin to them, convenience and social connections matter more than ethics or morality.

@HazelWood @Colinsay

Far too much money being spent on a clearly failing policy

@Colinsay When I was volunteering in Calais with refugees we would talk about the Rwanda policy. Out of hundreds of people I spoke to none of them had even heard of the policy and when we explained it they said that they'd still take the chance to get to their families and opportunities for safety in the UK. The Rwanda policy is not in any way stopping people crossing on small boats. It's just another ridiculous and very expensive media game by the tories.
