We are seeing this with Musk suing advertisers for leaving or saying they will leave X.
I can see a potential Mpox outbreak before too long, one + of that is as it is highly contagious, then perhaps the IDF will be infected too.
I would not wish that on anyone of course BUT it would be an issue of their OWN making.

AI seems great at computational tasks to help science sort through vast data produced by science, as for writing, if you are good in your field why do you need AI to help you write ?

The side effect could be that they lose a LOT Of money, however the other effect of that would be that the reesulting empowerment of users to just leave could easily send a message to Meta and others to get their act together on a variety of issues, including online safety. Various recent reports say there is still self harm in Instagram for example.
Big tech don't care, they care for profit.
As for the job of their moderators, lets NOT blame them, as with mods here on Fedi they do a great job, under trying circimstances, if I understand this, in some cases they are employed on poor wages and conditions (ref recent lawsuits on the trauma caused). Aim the full blame at the top and the shareholders of course.

Should we all hold hands and jump? Alan Rusbridger suggests a scenario in which "everyone" agrees to leave X on the same day. The date for this magnificent X-odus is November 5. Not for the fireworks but because it's the US election and we'll know whether the US has gone fascist.
He seems to have no conception that leaving X might actually be a step towards opposing fascism.

Therefore any action in support of this would to me be a breach of our own values, as we are supporting the Netenyahu government in mass murder, genocide, land theft and a host of other offenses, some of these are now the subject of ICC court action.
