So I don’t use Chrome but I have Ungoogled Chromium (https://codeberg.org/Eloston/ungoogled-chromium) as certain things only work under Chrom(ium) and I only just realised Google requires a Google account to install extensions.
Wow.
Hint: You can bypass this restriction using this the Ungoogled Extension Installer: https://github.com/UnnoTed/Ungoogled-Chromium-Extension-Installer
The lengths we have to go to in order to protect our privacy from basic everyday things is ridiculous. We need fundamental change. Surveillance capitalism needs to die.

Please check back on the 20th for adding DDG to Firefox Browser
China just delivered moon rocks back to Earth, marking the first time in 44 years that lunar samples have been brought back to our planet. It also lays the foundation for even bigger lunar missions ahead. https://bit.ly/34jeF17 https://twitter.com/techreview/status/1339297562961080325 #Tech #MIT #China #Earth #Planet

This is the most detailed 3D map of the Milk Way ever made.
This new data set could help scientists unravel many mysteries about the universe’s expansion and the solar system’s future. https://bit.ly/3mlxgjz https://twitter.com/techreview/status/1339268855349252099 #Tech #MIT

@stux
This is really so.
If we combined nuclear with solar, hydro, and wind, no more fossil fuels at all.

Is anyone else out there using Cryptpad ?
@cryptpad Asing to see if anyone else has the same result when trying to make a copy of a document.
Trying to confirm if the issue is me or with Cryptpad before reporting.
I seem to have an issue with Cryptpad. When I try and make a copy of a text file I get a error
"SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected keyword at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data"
See video below :

At the time of writing this post it is still transcoding.
Debian 10.7 (Buster)
Firefox version (if this helps)
So I got fed up of having to change my text scale every time I plugged my laptop into and unplugged it from my external display so I managed to hack a little udev triggered script that does it automatically.
In case it helps anyone else:

@silmathoron glad to find a new friend here at Mastodon.
As a feature idea, would it be possible to allow scheduling of peer tube videos please.
The reason for this is that if users make a video and publish it gets federated here straight away,
If users make several then there is a lot of federation in a short space of time.
It may be useful if a delay could be set before publishing,
just an idea.
