Any San Francisco kid under the age of 5 can get a free book mailed to them every month under a new partnership announced Friday by city officials and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

The first book that all children will receive in the mail, addressed to them, is The Little Engine That Could.

Just learned about this sick feminist hacker group that made a technique for creating PCBs out of locally harvested clay instead of plastic! Ofc the PCBs will have to be pretty simple, but ill bet you could totally make an arduino with this!

Starting today I'm going to become more aggressive about supporting independent media and journalism.

I'm not wealthy enough to make a big difference on my own but I think this is something that could have an impact if enough people with a little handful of disposable income and deep concerns about the state of journalism took on as a more serious value.

Are you paying Disney every month? youTube? Think about the impact of that going to a 20-something journalist instead.

The fediverse is the last safe information harbour on the Internet.

Twitter, Facebook, Tick/Tock, etc all promote enragement for engagement which is the bedrock of today's authoritarianism.

If you're on BlueSky you've already seen how the new boss is same as the old boss when it comes to centralized control and censorship. There's also questions around where the moneys coming from. They may already be soft captured.

Today more than ever the world needs decentralized social media.

The government has indicated that it would like to designate both trans people and the antifascist as terrorists, which I guess makes me a double terrorist.

What I want to know is, how high can I get it? Can we do triple terrorist for being a journalist? Quadruple because I like olives?

I can be really competitive.
