We published a report last year that also goes through a bunch of arguments for banning the entire surveillance-based advertising model.
With the DSA, the EU will roll out a ban of advertising based on sensitive personal data and surveillance-based advertising to children, which is a step in the right direction but falls short of solving the wider issue.

Cool story from earlier this year: Scientists announced a breakthrough in determining life's origin on Earth—and maybe Mars. They discovered that RNA forms spontaneously on basalt lava glass, which was abundant on Earth 4.35 billion years ago and still exists on Mars today.

What causes basalt lava glass? Meteor impacts and volcanic activity. So now I can't stop thinking of meteors as sperm crashing into the egg of the earth and getting BUSY. ☄️🌎 🐣

"Ada and #Zangemann is not only a utopian and charming story about #FreeSoftware and computers, but it is one about self-empowerment and also about joy in technology. While the wonderful book is aimed at children and young people, it may well be an eye-opener for adults, too."
