I wouldnt say giving people the freedom of choice, even if that freedom is used for them to be reckless with their choices, is heartless. If an old person wants teh comfort of a loved one, doesnt have much longer to live, and knows the risks, they should have every right to engage in that behavior if they want.
If i knew i didnt have much longer to live and that I might not even out live the epidemic, I would absolutely take that risk.
@design_RG It would suck, but a risk they have every right to take.
I'd rather be able to be close with my family, then risk a 1% chance of dying from suffocation than I would stuck in a room all alone for a year as a slowly die from natural causes.
To not give them the choice would be heartless, not the other way around.
