What if the test is measuring the wrong thing? How would you know?

It's not measuring the won't thing, it's collecting the wrong data. There's nothing wrong with the measurements, it's the tangent approach to the answer.
@garyackerman Either at the beginning or end you run the test against a sample with a known result.
@garyackerman Then you test to see if its measuring the right thing :)
