Had a good chuckle with the part about the system admin going to be rich, poor dr Freemo. He's not even charging anyone for server costs, which some places do via paypal or other means.
I found my way to the fediverse and qoto just a week ago, based on a nice BBC news item talking about that migration -- which showed up on my twitter feed.
Read it, and went investigating, liked what I found.
A week later, I am close to 500 posts already.
