I just finished my last commission and I'm currently without a job.
I'm not strapped for cash, but having an income would be nice.
A company here in Rome wants to hire me for a job I'm not interested in: I've been working in the field for over 5 years and I'm now an expert.
I'm now trying to change my professional fields, but this offer is really enticing since I would get a reliable income (something I never had) for a job I can easily do.
I'm a bit unsure about accepting the offer, mainly because I don't want to be a dick to them: I'll keep searching jobs even though I'll start working there and I doubt I will be staying there for more than 2-3 months.
This might create some problems to those guys and I wouldn't be happy about it
On the other hand, I would get 2-3 months of salary, which wouldn't be bad at all since right now I'm burning through my savings.
@valhalla
It's quite a new company, 5 years old or so with some 50 employees.
I'd be working in a team with other 3 persons who currently have too much work to do, thus I would be taking some work off of them.
When I go away their project will slow down and they will have to find another person to substitute me.
I don't think the damage to the company would be huge, but still it would be unpleasant
Another Rat Race - Something of a different kind of Consumption or Education Cycle...
If you're interested in my ideas of self-determination then this could be something good to talk about.
Something more rewarding than company-driven-gov-regulated templates !
Happy to chat as I'm better at talking than typing. More ideas at link below if too 'scared' to talk and want to listen first :)

Basically talking directly about this and something toward more-relativity with people and *practising* it directly. Tons of ideas to massage (but yes expect it needs a bit of will and it can be rewarding too 'for humanity').
Since you're quite comfortable financially (@rastinza and others too) I suggest thinking away from Rat Race to explore for a bit than existing templates only.
Something rewarding (in the many ideas of this word). I'm sure we can find some ideas with a bit of will but need a 'new' way of thinking and going about it. Perhaps this needs a bit of trust to get into seeing what I mean... and then with you help levelling it up without the typical damage from doing things the prescribed way ...
DM welcome about this, ideally a Jitsi audio chat (example below, just let me know when and I can jump in)

I'm better at talking than typing so suggestion conversing properly.

but yes we expect it needs a bit of will and talking around everything and bring 1 thing together - something rewarding too 'for humanity' or steps they can do while we do also.
Since you're quite comfortable financially (@rastinza / others too) I suggest thinking away from Rat Race to explore for a bit more than existing templates as the main way as that has limitations naturally.

if it's a big soulless multinational I'd say go for it!
If it's a small company with very few people, it depends on the people you would cause problems to, and the amount of problems, I'd guess.
