@worldsendless We arent the only ones, but it is rather rare. The standard we use was adopted from misskey. So you will find misskey servers have it. Fedibird also has the feature.
Servers that dont support it just see it as a link inline with your message. So luckily it is backwards compatible with other instances too.
@freemo impressive that you know this! How would I even go about figuring out what standards they came from, or what code-bases?

nope we are a heavily modified fork off vanilla mastodon. We did pull in or write features similar to the most useful glitch features. But those were pulled in or written on top of vanilla fork directly.

Each instance is free to run it's own fork of the original software. Qoto may vary from others.
