@freemo which test did you use? My compass said I was right of center but at the very bottom. I think some of the questions basically assumed I was a statist, so my answers made me lean right harder than I would have.

@mur2501 Nah, people thing that because I give liberals shit for how they act... thing is in terms of policy and principles I agree with the liberal stance a bit more than the conservative stance. I just happen to despise the way the liberals **behave** (exaggerations, lieing, manipulating , arguing complete fantasies).
The spectrum doesnt account for how much you like the people on one side or the other, it only measures your values.

I don't think this is a great test because my opinions about how governments should act and how private individuals should act are completely opposite, and it doesn't take it into account.
Like the question about religious schools. I send my kids to religious school and I think it is very important. I don't think that government schools should be teaching any type of religion or even influencing morals of children.

That just means you would take the test twice and have two different points on the compass, one point represents the ideology you want your government to have, the other represents the ideology you want citizens to have.
@freemo Last time I did this I was as centriest as once could get in these kind of tests. π
@sacha thats a pretty good place to be IMO.. anywhere near the middle is a good sign
@freemo I just redid the tests and went from -2/-2.6 to -0.62/-1.9. Still left of center baby! π
@sacha you can get almost anything if you try to when you take the test :)
@freemo And with the pol/com test its made even easier when the results are given to image generator as part of the URL in a GET-request. Totally not exploitable! ;-)

@AmpBenzScientist For what its worth while I dont think i know you well enough to judge, the parts I can say i have an opinion on seem to track with the values youve demonstrated.... some areas though i dont really know your opinions on per se.
@freemo Capitalism tied with Communism was the main cause for the Comic book guy response.
@AmpBenzScientist You being really high on the "regulation" scale and me being very low certainly tracks with much of what we discuss and is really the central theme for most of it.
@AmpBenzScientist I find it odd that i am more progressive and less conservative than you are though... that i wouldnt have expected.

Took these again for shits and gigs. It reminded me why I dislike quizzes like this, the questions always kinda suck Or are like "um, what?"and I always wish there were more choices. A lot of them I'm like "um, let the individual/the market decide that, not me." lol
And I remember one time I took a strictly leftist-oriented one for shits and gigs too. It said "utopian socialist" but when you looked at the graphs it was basically "Fuck the environment, build a shitload of factories."
Yea they are always a little annoying and hard to answer correctly because "it depends"
