@tk every time I hear about trackballs it reminds me of this video youtube.com/watch?v=xg1fhOiW8z

CS:GO dream team:
- trackball
- xbox controller
- roll-up keyboard that barely works
- chilean internet

@icedquinn implying that addictive features don't actively hinder the children's willingness to spend time with their parents instead of being farmed on facebook 20 hours a day. Sure, you can force them to do stuff, but they have free will and generally don't react to being forced to do something by loving it.

@Hyolobrika freelancers are basically one-person companies, including legally if they earn a living wage. No idea how much that costs though, never was one or hired one.

@Hyolobrika if you wanna pay for it to get fixed those are basically your options though. Unless you don't count hiring a freelancer as being a customer.

@Hyolobrika yeah, and what if that doesn't have to be a donation, but rather people exchanging money for goods and services? Maybe they could even pay full-time developers for this, killing two birds with one stone and giving someone a cool job. Weird that nobody thought about doing this.

This looks interesting

Hurl is a command line tool that runs HTTP requests defined in a simple plain text format.

It can chain requests, capture values and evaluate queries on headers and body response. Hurl is very versatile: it can be used for both fetching data and testing HTTP sessions.

Hurl makes it easy to work with HTML content, #REST / SOAP / GraphQL APIs, or any other XML / JSON based APIs.

(Built with #rustlang powered by #curl)

pronouncing "schizophrenia" with the German "sch"

Imagine if ESRB ratings worked like YouTube. Four ratings:
1. Fit for babies
2. Adults only 18+
3. You can't make money on it
4. We will hunt you down

@FUCKINGWHOCARESDUDE @Kerosene @VD15 neither language also has a word for balling your toes into a "fist" because it doesn't matter. Also things like knees and ankles look very different and have very different functionality, toes are very obviously short stubby fingers, they even have nails. That's important considering the time when these languages evolved. And knees and ankles are actually important and come up in casual speech, with toes you can totally get away with the extended "fingers of the leg" because again, they don't matter and are rarely talked about. At least in the red countries, apparently.

@FUCKINGWHOCARESDUDE @Kerosene @VD15 but there are scarcely often discussed concepts that don't have a word. So a language that doesn't have a word for toes doesn't give a shit for sure. A language that does probably does.

When you say "palce" in Polish it's assumed you mean the hand kind of fingers, the existence of toes is ignored.

@FUCKINGWHOCARESDUDE @Kerosene @VD15 not making a specific word for something usually means it's not important and not discussed often enough so that describing it isn't too inconvenient. So definitely the 1st one.

@nixCraft lacks the option "no, because I explicitly didn't buy anything with an Nvidia card"

@tk @icedquinn I guess that depends on a city, but mechanics in cities tend to earn really well, due to having a huge market with a lot of wealthy people. Same with electricians, hydraulics, carpenters etc.

You know, in the 80s people often said things like "in 40 years, everything will have computers in them", and while they weren't wrong, they severely underestimated the situation.
Our computers have computers in them. Those smaller computers often have even smaller computers inside them.

We didn't get a "everything is a computer" future, we got a future with fractal computers. The fuckers have metastasized

@Zergling_man @r000t that would explain my ban lol
Good thing it happened when I was already mostly done with the game and I only learned about it a couple of years later coming back to play a bit with friends.
