@thor Only RX. If they haven't taken proper precautions, one could detect certain frequencies related to the servers. It's likely a violation of policy if they have radio emissions.
Not only does it potentially allow for information exfil but it might mean that radio waves can get in and cause interference.
@thor Do you have a good quality SDR and directional antennas?
@thor They have Servers and equipment that require a large amount of cooling to operate.
@TurboNormie @BowsacNoodle @Godcast @mkultra @randbot @Wormwood Damn the man bun and clip on tie.
@freeschool The founder of the FSF is a gifted Mathematician. In Mathematics I can say that FLOSS was used for mostly everything.
Why some in the STEM Fields don't have the same values? They are likely bound by contracts and they don't own their work. Some are just greedy and seek wealth instead of being a pillar of light.
@gbraad GPLv3 and AGPLv3 could see it being open sourced by law.
@amerika @dew_the_dew @thor It's illegal to rent properties without working AC here.
@thor Is there a server room in the building pictured? That's a lot of cooling for not computers.
@thor It will die from Fe which is a really cool detail that isn't often mentioned.
@BowsacNoodle @Godcast @mkultra @randbot @TurboNormie @Wormwood Nothing beats a classic black suit, black tie and oxford style shoes. It's a timeless look.
@mc It just needs an ESP32 and RasPi to flash a warning LED.
@thor A device like a Pixel should be all AOSP and have support for a long time via updates or a custom OS. I think OnePlus has some older devices that are well supported by custom OSs too.
I would say that Android is as much of a prison as iOS. Apple just designed a better prison and didn't rely on third parties to make what they thought was acceptable. Android has progressively grown more hostile to FLOSS while the rely on the Linux Kernel.

@thor @evelyn I hope that you consider having to set broken bones as an inconvenience too. I got injured and had to set my own broken bones. At least I had sutures in case I needed them. Military aid kits are the shit and I still carry at least a basic kit. I also carry a leather wallet because it helps prevent damage to the teeth.
Homelessness gave me additional issues from preexisting PTSD and I still have issues from it. Physically I am in exceptional condition for my age. I still drop when I hear explosions and find cover when I hear unexpected gunfire. The cruelty that people show to homeless people but they rescue animals from inhumane conditions.
I'm not going to talk about it anymore.
@thor @evelyn Being close to death after waking up in 120F heat. Having to walk with a heavy rucksack after getting a liter of two of piss warm water. Walking with a splitting headache and confusion from the remaining heat stroke symptoms. Walking a few kilometers only to get degraded by people and having to keep calm. That's less than an hour of the experience.
There are similar stories but in below freezing temperatures. I can't include everything and I maintain that words cannot describe the experience.

@thor They could always burn their crops and salt the land as a last resort. They might all starve but Russia is too poor to buy food especially if it were to suddenly rocket in value.
Toughbook fan, Mathematician and Locksmith with limited success in other areas.
Political stance is far right and far left. Proponent of First Aid Kits and PPE. Easily disheartened by big tech. Partially hinged personality and stubborn enough to not write this in the First Person.
