@thendrix It seems like many shooters leave quite a paper trail and have a rather expensive taste.

@thendrix Pointing out the flaws in streaming services is a good hobby. People need to know what they are missing out on.

Oh, I gave up working on audio systems for a living years ago. I was just making fun of this streaming service.

@thor @freemo Also using two different systems of measurements because they both have strengths in certain areas.

@AmpBenzScientist

In the dark and close up I am superior yea, but i dont have superior dark vision in general.

@thor

@freemo @thor I usually do have better vision in low light than my friends. I was just curious if being near sighted would offer some enhanced perception because of the amount of processing the brain has done with objects that aren't in focus.

Then again it's rather pointless except for hunting as peripheral vision is going to out perform the cones.

@AmpBenzScientist

You are hired, when can you start as my PR guy?

@DrBonesMD @GW@newsie.social

@freemo @DrBonesMD @GW@newsie.social Just as soon as I can get a drug habit that makes me useless for anything else.

@freemo Oh I didn't think about it like that. If it was a climate control system they could have used analog computational components that would work well enough. A 24 hour clock could drive a replaceable disk that would activate different relays according to the time.

IE Newtonian Heating and Cooling could be used when implemented with approximate value disks. For more heat the value of the relays could increase via a potentiometer. For less heat the voltage to the heating coils could be reduced proportional to the time of day.

If it's difficult to visualize, just think about a music box. It was the 50s so why not have a bunch of rotating disks in the wall just to get the desired temperature range for a residence?

@AmpBenzScientist It is a universal physical law of the universe.

If we ever meet aliens I garuntee you their wise men are also random aliens peekling alien apples by alien lakes.

@freemo Weed has changed so much since we were that age. Seeds and stems man seeds and stems.

Puff the magic dragon: A song about a little kid who smoked weed and as he got older he stopped smoking and his dragon friend commited suicide.

The moral of the story: never stop smoking weed or your murder dragons!

@freemo I've never actually used public transportation. It used to frequently catch on fire when we had it. They would just put the fire out and continue on their route.

I believe that people who use public transportation have more pressing issues than that one belligerent woman did.

@freemo @DrBonesMD @GW@newsie.social I don't believe in increased taxes on the wealthy. I believe that governments have created the problems and mostly exist for the benefit of the super wealthy.

Multinational Companies are the worst offenders and should be targeted. If they refuse to play ball, they should forfeit their copyrights in the US and any capital.

The correct strategy in Capitalism is to use taxes to keep monopolies from forming and keep corporations competing. One of the many problems in the dystopian present is a lack of opportunity. The government is not for the people and it allows for further predatory actions on its own people.

There's not a silver bullet for this other than destruction of the Representative Democracy and going for a Direct Democracy. China has a Representative based government too. In the modern world there's no room for such an unoptimized and inflexible government.

No taxation without representation? When representation is so far removed from the people it can be distorted or ignored. The people who control the most wealth also hijack our voice by abusing the same representative system or use of renamed bribes.

It's rather pointless to address the dysfunctional taxes without addressing the dysfunctional government and its flaws.

@freemo @DrBonesMD @GW@newsie.social It would solve police brutality against the homeless and remind people that firearms make everyone equal.

@AmpBenzScientist

Im all for handing out free guns to the homeless... not sure it will solve any problems but it will certainly piss off the liberals, and that alone is worth it :)

@DrBonesMD @GW@newsie.social

@AmpBenzScientist

20/10 vision would mean quite horrible near sightedness.

While there is such a thing as objectively bad vision (such as an astigma) when it comes to normal shaped lenses that are out of focus there really is no such thing as "better and worse"... those kids with 20/10 vision would be completely unable to use my computer at the resoution I use.

I use QHD/UHD monitors at full resolution with no zoom. Virtually every normal sighted person says "how can you see that" to which I reply "rather easily".

You can only shift the natural focal point, it is never an improvement it is a tradeoff every time.
