@PawelK @lupyuen I RE'd binary blobs for an open source project. It is Apache License v2 which explicitly allows for derivative works.

@lupyuen right now it's being debated if the Apache License v2 allows for derivative works. I did what I did in good faith. If I messed up then I get to meet the FBI.

@lupyuen The github was linked in an earlier post and it is being talked about in the Nutcracker Matrix.

@lupyuen It's already being used by the community. Apparently I did a good job (could have been better :/). All three blobs.

I just got really scared that I dumped code illegally. It is Apache v2.

@lupyuen Will send a link when it is ready. It's not going to be pretty code but it will be workable.

@lupyuen It seems to be Apache License v2.0 so I will verify this and release the source code.

@freemo The safest place is under cover. With a grenade, at least, the safest place is on the ground. The shockwave is still going to hit but the shrapnel is going to form a conical expanding shape.

@relena You are only buying a license to access a book which can be revoked. You also don't have any rights to use other ways of reading the books.

@lupyuen BTW the compiled binaries used SiFive GCC 8.5.0 with arch=rv32imfc on a Linux box. The code will take time to analyze as it is now over 25MiB of pure C code.

@lupyuen I love the idea of Rust but it's not C. LoraWAN is really cool but not really free as in freedom.

@lupyuen Legally I don't know if I can do that. I have the source code rn. Just query my database for information pertaining to GPIO (for example) and I will share what I have found about it.

@lupyuen I really don't have much of a life outside of Research. I can just drown in a ocean of code. No TV, no video games or anything else distracting.

@lupyuen All three are C now. Just ask about it and it will be my pleasure to answer.

@lupyuen I used to RE malware and firmware for fun. This is like putting on socks for me.
