@thor @pfpoitras In Chemistry: Alkaline chemicals have a biter taste also don't taste the chemicals.

@AmpBenzScientist @pfpoitras it's alkaline so that's to be expected. i mix with fruit syrup and i have to add a lot more than with just pure water to get something palatable. the citric acid in the fruit and the alkaline caffeine counteract each other, i think.

@thor It also served to show the Soviets that we could advance Science at a rate they couldn't match nor sustain.

I believe the result of Man on the Moon was the decree that space is not properly of one nation but we go together as one.

the Apollo program is often justified with the inventions it lead to. but, you know, we probably could've done all of that stuff without the rockets. if we had just wanted to. but we don't bother with inventing cool stuff unless it's for war. a whole lot of clever stuff was also invented because somebody wanted to get laid. such noble motives...

@lupyuen I would believe that but it seems to be a reoccurring theme in aircraft that poor decisions are praised. There's no real reason for windows except for the cockpit and the other windows are structural weaknesses because of the difference in physical properties.

"The windows may have been damaged by high-power Flood Lights used during filming the day before the flight"

@thor They could always use a series of smaller circular Accelerators and potentially a modified circle twisted at a calculated rate to achieve the same result.

It's only 22 Billion dollars? Call it a War against the Unknown and invite the USA.

@thor Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry, Gel membranes for capturing intermediates and drawing out the reaction with likely side reactions.

@thor @pfpoitras Increased surface area, purity of the solvent and heat will produce higher yields.

@thor Caffeine is in itself a quite bitter compound. Maybe it results in better extraction?

@pfpoitras @thor I can confirm that caffeine is very bitter. I believe that super critical CO2 is a bit better to extract the caffeine. I believe that benzene or toluene was traditionally used for the extraction of caffeine from coffee.

@thor We do have the most powerful and developer friendly DSP in our heads. Imagine programming the human mind.

@freemo You should get a nuclear launch key and lock for caps lock. Just remember that they asked for it.
