@thedesertlynx
$500k job. I can work that for 5 years, meet my retirement goal, then quit and buy all the crypto I want.
@kenn3d
They're called hardware wallets. They're already easy.
@david
I use and recommend the Microsoft Sculpt keyboard. My wrists, hands, and fingers used to hurt all the time until I got it(I'm on my computer a LOT)
@sim historically, this 100%. What's interesting to see is that as women gain a large chunk of power in certain environments, they basically feminize it, flipping that around and pushing away masculinity in the office space. The exception to this is in positions of power or management.
@mgrondin sounds fun. Any idea what the domain will be?
@sim feminism isn't so much about feminity, but about the empowerment of women.
@CarolynM you might contact your congressman. These kinds of things get missed during the creation of laws, and they don't want the optics of disgruntled healthcare workers right now
@WowMachineRadio
I'll speak acutely then. Your wordplay is rude, downplaying something that these people consider important: the inability for police to self-police.
You've heard the term "bad apple?" The whole term is "one bad apple spoils the bunch." If a small percentage of cops are racist, exploitative sociopaths and the other cops don't remove them, those evil cops absolutely wreck the reputations of all of them.
Then while they're protesting this issue, you're giving word play to needlessly confuse them with something that doesn't actually address the issue they're protesting for. You just have stupid word play.
If you disagree with why they're protesting, then discuss that. But your word play isn't productive at all.
@WowMachineRadio
Hyperbole will lead to the death of us all.
@WowMachineRadio
Their original question is not "do you think only black lives matter?" This is a rude warping of language to needlessly confuse people.
@Sphinx
No not necessarily. A lot of new vehicles use fully synthetic motor oil. This oil doesn't need to be replaced as often.
@Trickster@social.quodverum.com
It's rare, but some people are just naturally smooth-as-silk under stressful situation. Plus he was a wanna-be police cadet. Chances are good that he obsessed for hours over police training videos on youtube, learning about threat recognition, gun safety, and all that stuff.
@thor
You might get tested for sleep apnea. It's relatively common, wakes you up at night, and makes you feel exhausted 24/7.
@Sphinx
Depends on the car and oil used. I typically change my oil every 3k miles
@KarMarJo57
Thank you! I know you say this because you care.
I aim to get rich not for toys, but so I can better serve those around me. If I am certain that the future for myself and my children is secure, then I can focus on helping others as much as possible.
uspol, racist quote
@jude_ The US isn't inherently racist or evil. It has a history of being racist or evil, but it doesn't need to be that way going forward.
@bumbervevo
It really is okay to start with lofty goals as long as it keeps your interest. My first real project was to make a particle-based fluid simulator. I had absolutely no experience in programming or trigonometry at the time, but the _potential_ kept me focused.
Nowadays, that mindset of "do I really need this" keeps me focused on financial prediction scripts. That potential keeps me focused on learning machine learning software that may get me rich.
Focus is key with programming. If you find what will keep you focused and hungry for more, you _will_ learn. Even if it takes years.
@bumbervevo
Lots and lots of googling and obsessing. People who seem like naturals spent years making hundreds of stupid, crappy scripts, learning just a little bit with every iteration. They often took classes or read books that taught about syntax, object oriented programming, and a hundred little things.
My number one piece of advice is: think of something interesting enough to keep your focus, then google obsessively on how to do little parts of it. Then glue those pieces together.
If you want specific advice on your script, feel free to dm me.
When we see something on the news that we know about, we always think "That's not right!" We then forget about that and believe everything else we see.
