@Ray_Frigon using the police and federal agents to suppress peaceful protests in Washington DC was an escalation. To have the president threaten to not concede the election if he loses is an escalation. To publicly question the legitimacy of the election is an escalation.

The protests started in response to police brutality, and they continue because the issues have not been addressed.

To be serious, what rubs me the wrong way is that they're implying COVID is just as dangerous is the flu. My wife regularly tells me stories of people dying because of COVID. I never heard that with the flu.
