@freemo what are your thoughts on my ass's highly technical statical analysis of the chances of rioting and war now? 💩
To be clear, mean words don't cause a loss in safety. Tribalism can lead to a loss. But more dangerous than both of these is the damage that such thought-policing and fear-mongering has on our democracy. It amplifies divisions for no reason.
@freemo I've been wanting to ask you, with the Overton Window becoming ever-narrower, why are you so public with your political opinions? Don't you worry about how wrongthink could impact your career or legacy?
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just find it interesting. Most successful people seem to be extremely guarded.
It seems there is one universal personality trait that every great that made their way into the history books all share.. Failure motivated them rather than demotivating them.. Not sure that helps anyone to know, as it isnt something you can just replicate. But it does seem to be the key to success all the same.
When we see something on the news that we know about, we always think "That's not right!" We then forget about that and believe everything else we see.
