👋🏽Hey, I'm hopping on the #introduction train for #followfriday #ff.

My name is Jenea (jen-AY), and I'm a 4th-year Ph.D. Candidate in #Genomics and #ComputationalBiology at the University of Pennsylvania. I'm also a dual MA Student in #Statistics and #DataScience at Wharton.

My research spans #transcriptomics/#RNA #splicing, #singlecell, #shortread, and #longread platforms, and innovating approaches to applying these tools in #cancer + #pediatric diseases (#leukemia, #blood disorders)

I spotted Kepler-10b in the DC airport on the arse of a bear parked in front of an establishment selling spicy chilli. I can’t decide if a broiling lava world on one’s backside is good marketing for chilli.

Connections are important! So posting again.
I’m here for #rustlang #embedded #linux #electronics #pcb #design and similar. #makers if you’re interested follow I’ll follow back let’s connect

BOOST for visibility please 🙏

#Introduction

Hello! I'm a scientist who works with policymakers and resource managers to support climate adaptation for communities and ecosystems. I also help train researchers who want to make climate and conservation science that's actionable (i.e., useful to and used by decision-makers).

Otherwise, I'm a fairly obsessed cold-water surfer and paddler. Pic from last night on beautiful Puget Sound.

#neuroscience So lucky to be working with this amazing group of scientists! Great job on your brilliant presentations at #sfn2022 Tatiana, Leila, Valentina, Sofia, Abdiel and Kim!!! See you all back in beautiful Miami 🏝️

@freemo hey! Not sure what’s been going on, but hope you’re ok. Really appreciate everything you do here! Sending lots of positivity your way, make sure you look after yourself! Folly is offering a hug 🐶

👋🏼 I’m Raghav Chhetri, a scientist at Rockefeller University in NYC. I like to follow cells, neurons, photons through the lens of custom microscopes. I’m broadly interested in developing and applying neuroimaging technologies to understand the brain. I feel strongly about current practices in scientific research and strive to make science open, accessible, and welcoming to minorities, historically marginalized, and societally disadvantaged groups.

Hello world, it's time to do an ! I'm a neuroscientist (postdoc) currently based in Göttingen, Germany. I have broad interests in , including sensory coding, neural circuits, and sensorimotor transformations.

So far, I studied how the retina processes natural scenes using a combination of large-scale electrophysiology and computational modeling.

I'll be soon leaving the tidy entryway to the visual system to venture into understanding cortical processing during decision-making.

Hello all!

I am a Professor in the Joint Department of at UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State University. My research group works in the broad area of where we combine computational and experimental work to understand the behavior of these complex systems, with applications to and other diseases. Much of this work focuses on kinases and the kinome. We also have "spin off" work/interests in the areas of translational ( applied to ) as well as . I am also involved in trying to link basic science work to the clinic as the Executive Director of FastTraCS, a team of clinicians and engineers working to identify and develop solutions to unmet clinical needs we find in the system. Too many interests!

So, I didn’t sleep last night. Now with the sun rising, I must decide if I will remain awake all day or take cat naps. In this moment, I’m reminded of something one of my MS committee members said years ago: “Sleep is like any habit. It can be broken!” This I’m not sure I’m ready to test that assertion.

#Introduction. I'm a neurotechnologist and neuroscientist at Imperial College London (where I am Professor of Neurotechnology in the Dept of Bioengineering). My research focuses on understanding the neural coding of memory, and how it is impaired in memory disorders. Towards these goals I also develop new tools for neuroscience (multiphoton, data analysis, mouse behaviour etc). Outside science I'm into cycling (particularly gravel). #neuroscience #neurotechnology
