Managed to capture the #aurora #auroraborealis #northernlights last night from Mid #devon . It was an amazing spectacle. The pillars could be seen with the naked eye (but no colour), and these unedited photos from my #AppleiPhone14Pro show the beautiful colours of the display #iphonephotography . An unforgettable experience, and a rarity for this far south.

Currently studying ecology as part of my #OpenUniversity #NaturalScience degree. It forms part of the general science module #S112 so it’s only high level at this stage. This week’s individual project involves measuring Leaf Area Index of different parts of the world to identify the likely habitat. @Fmp52 I’m d-int BSc Natural Science, but I did get my DipHE in Psychology as well. I studied DE100, E102, DE200, DD210, and a bit of DD310 before calling it quits :) Hopefully I have got the module codes correct.

Whilst I'm still getting my head around navigating, I'm enjoying being a #NewUser of Mastadon. I can't describe it, but the entire vibe just feels...different. Less toxic. I'm searching for hashtags that are relevant to my interests, such as #drawing and coming across some fantastic artists to follow. It just feels nicer...I hope it stays that way. 🤞
