So, #Mazeldon #Jewdiverse #jews #Jewish ...
Can we do #tootyourshabbat like Twitter's tweetyourshabbat? Tell us what you're cooking or otherwise planning to eat for Shabbat and maybe your other activities if there's room? Maybe with pictures?
I'm senior researcher at #CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) and #IPGP (Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris).

Working on #geology, #earthquake and sometimes #volcanic processes, related #hazards and risks, science communication…
I'm executive editor at TEKTONIKA https://twitter.com/WeAreTektonika (a DOA journal not yet on Mastodon), and advocate of #openscience, free #openaccess
Just moving from Twitter to Mastodon, and learning how to use it. Will keep the two accounts alive, at least for some time…
A reminder for anyone new to mastodon who might not be happy with some of the racist and bad actors out there on other servers... Just import the fediblock list to your personal blocks and you will be safe from the vast majority of bad actors.
@natsuki Nice!
I realize I never did the obligatory introductory post.
I'm a cranky academic (35 years on faculty) in the midwest US. I've been working in security, privacy, policy, and related for over 40 years.
I have some strong opinions about rights and respect for ALL people. I dislike ignorance and bigotry.
I also have a ... quirky... sense of "humor."
All of those are likely to be expressed here, sometimes in combination.
See my profile for links to more info.
#helloworld - and nice to meet everyone, looking forward to #STEM oriented server.
This thread could also work as my official #introduction here after switching servers.
I work as full-stack technician for [Think Open](https://www.cimec.unitn.it/en/1025/open-science), the #openscience initiative of [CIMeC - Center For Mind / Brain Sciences](https://www.cimec.unitn.it/) at [The University of Trento, Italy](https://www.unitn.it/).
I also contributed to establish and maintain the [Italian Reproducibility Network](itrn.org) @italianrepro
My main activity is to discover new and interesting open science approaches and support my local academic community in implementing them.
I am also interested in #opendata, especially those coming from #cogneuro experiment. I think sharing human brain images (e.g.: #mri) in an effective, #privacy - and #ethics compliant way is one of the most intriguing and difficult problems of open #neuroscience to date.
I like #scicomm discussions and practices, I hope there will be a massive and effective scientific #TwitterMigration and I'll try my best to support it.
