@freemo Are all white people supposed to hate themselves? Doesn't that lead to major insecurities and complexes where they strike out at others because of how they are feeling inside? Self hatred is a poison. It's important to try to accept and understand yourself, then others have a better chance of getting to know you too. I'm still learning how mind you. It's hard work! 😖

@arteteco @freemo Thank you very much for the welcome! I started reading Terry Pratchett when I was quite young and it's amazing how many layers there are to his work as you get older and reread it. I love the humour in his work. Always been a big fan of Samuel Vimes and I have a big soft spot for Death of Rats too ❤️

Hello you fine people, born in 1980 in Germany. I basically grew up with computers. My dad being a tech nut I learnt to repair tube TVs in my apprenticeship (that went well …) and studied informatics for a year (that also went “well”).
I love tech, scifi and the internet with all my heart. I am recording my gameplay in various indie and Paradox games for years and nearly got rid of my formerly horrendous accent.
I don’t like censorship but my countries history taught be to be cautious. Left leaning doesn’t describe me well. I am on the very fringe of that axis but liberal to a fault. I don’t care what you do with your life if it doesn’t hurt other or infringes on their rights.
Labels are just a tool to divide us on this ride. We only have a few decades and I want to make mine the best I could possibly have.
Thanks to @freemo I am giving this whole thing another chance.

I am a Scottish mature student in biomedical engineering. I enjoy theoretical physics, especially anything to do with waves and electromagnetism. Getting into fluid dynamics at the moment. My favourite authors are Iain Banks and early Terry Pratchett. My music changes according to my mood. I'm not very good with people, so if I mess up, please excuse me. I should probably come with a health warning when it comes to unintentional upsetting remarks. I also get distracted by shiny things really easily. And rocks.
