I think it's suppose be "Too long; didn't read", meaning whatever info was provided, the poster of "TL;DR" thought it was too much so they didn't bother to read it.

My tongue-in-check disambiguation was a commentary on people being too lazy to read (and therefore less informed).

@Pat Oh whoopsie. Yeah, it is 'too long; didn't read'. But too lazy is pretty fitting too in most of those cases. ;)
