@khird Makes a lot of sense, thanks. I believe I will use it as a basic "like" functionality just as a token of appreciation to a toot, especially since there is an implemented bookmarking feature.
Facebook just doxxed a half-billion people: don’t let it use their plight to justify making it harder to leave Facebook! https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2021/04/553000000-reasons-not-let-facebook-make-decisions-about-your-privacy

From my POV, the more web engines and web browsers not based on Google code the better.

@olamundo Yup, I don't live in the US (or other countries that use MDY) so I use DD/MM/YYYY too. But since there aren't 14 months, only 1 Pi Day exist and that's in the MM/DD/YYYY format. So as far as it applies to a format, I believe the Pi Day still applies worldwide and it is worth celebrating. Thanks for the welcome!
@olamundo I did not know about the existence of that and I am happy to see that it exists, thanks!
The board voted unanimously to post the following statement on the FSF website: While our primary mission is freedom for software users, we want to be clear, the FSF board unanimously condemns misogyny, racism,and other bigotry as well as defamation, intimidation, and unfair attacks on free thought and speech.
@dajbelshaw That's so pretty.
@freemo I think I got it, I meant that by server you could also mean the other instance that is being interacted with. Thanks for the info.
@freemo Which server side? And what would happen after the server-side cache is cleared?
@trinsec Oh yeah thanks! Proud to be here.
@freemo Thank you, I'll keep that in mind.
Boom! There goes my very first toot. Oh wait, the max character count isn't 280, but rather 2^16? I would love to take advantage of that in my first toot. I guess I can celebrate Pi Day, even though I am 1 day late (2 days even, for a few countries), so happy late Pi Day! I am also considering to open Diaspora*, Friendica and PixelFed accounts, but who knows? Look at that! Until the incoming comma character, (<-- that one behind the parenthesis!) I have already used 411 characters. Neat!
