Up until now I have been stalled by one thing in my project ideas: server side operation. So far my ideas have at least some kind of file I/O involved, which require server side scripts. That's out of scope for my assignment, and I haven't done learning all the client side shit yet.

So if I eliminate all the server-related operations in my ideas... I can actually get something done!

I'm gonna spend this month going through two online web dev courses: Web Developer Bootcamp on Udemy by Colt Steele, and one about CSS Grid on Scrimba. Wish me luck.

I got Debian on Android working this time using this guide androidauthority.com/install-u

Rooted my device with Magisk.

Can also use Termux to ssh into localhost to use the Debian process.

VNC works fine for GUI but really wish I have a mouse, and the resolution needs to be a tad lower.

If you have a sungo-shaped hole in your company, I'm actively looking for a remote gig. My resume is over at https://sungo.wtf/resume.pdf - Boosts very welcome

I'm giving up my counter web app for now. Turning JSON to editable HTML table is way out of my zone at the moment. I'm just gonna make something silly that I can understand to hand in as my assignment.

Mastodon widget by azet.jp seems to be struggling to connect to any instance (including qoto.org and toot.cafe).

Man when im home alone I do some of the dumbest craziest shit. I just listened to Linkin Park - Hybrid theory for the first time in like a decade. Sang along to the whole thing at the top of my lungs but just replaced all the words with the word "meow"... "meow meow meeeeooooowwwwww"

Today I learned about deep fried Mars bars.

I could really taste the calories in my teeth. And cholesterol.

It's awful.

WOOOAAA how the hell did I not hear about this till just now. I wasted all my time following that other modular phone that never became a reality and meanwhile a real one was already in production!!!

I went to an acoustic jam session last night and it did a lot of good to my mental health. It's like sports for the non-sporty kind like me. Going to spend an hour putting together a playlist that the group has music sheets for.

should make everyone realise how important Freedom is worth fighting for.
Look at the Hong Kong Youth, knowing they could be jailed for 10 years for so called "rioting", knowing that the PRC millitary could invade with/without the request of the HK government and slaughter them all.
That is why we shouldn't give up on basic rights just as Privacy, Freedom of Speech etc. because it is what matters the most.

Follow my peertube user everyone. It is where I will post videos:

Thank you @neil for being such a really patient facilitator for the web dev workshop today. Shame my plan to carry less weight by using an Android device didn't work, but my experience today is going into my hippocampus for sure.

What went wrong:

- I had a tested Debian installed via UserLAnd, an app that creates an instance of Linux distro within Android devices. I said tested as in I logged into Debian on it before coming to the workshop. It worked then. When I got to the workshop, it decided to reject my password since. No idea why.

- I just need to ssh into my AWS instance so I grabbed a terminal app as an alternative. Spent an hour wrestling with storage permission just so I can use the ssh key file provided by Amazon.

- Finally gave up when Amazon didn't like my browsers enough to even give me the key file download, complaining that Javascript isn't enabled.

So yeah, lots of lessons learned. If I can't get linux working on my tablet this week, I'll just have to haul my gaming laptop for the next meetup.
