In 2021 I ran my first marathon exactly seven months after breaking my leg. The last five miles were very painful. I'd hate to be in that situation again...

So I'm leaning in. I've registered for my second marathon, four months from now, just finished the first week of training.

There's really no health incentive for someone healthy like me to get vaxxed, especially as the #Coronavirus gets less and less deadly.

I have the antibodies so I must have had it before. I didn't notice though, I wasn't sick. If you catch #COVID there's a high chance I won't get any symptoms, yet if I get vaxxed I now know for a fact I will get sicker than if I caught #COVID!

What's the point? We all know that getting vaccinated doesn't keep you from catching or spreading #COVID anyways.

@ThatDude the mandates are at the county level here in Colorado, though a coffee place I go to regularly (Englewood or Sheridan I think) had no mask sign this morning, half of the employees unmasked. Not sure if mandates changed/expired, or if someone at that store has become non compliant.

I sure am glad this #Target is forcing me to slowly wither away due to dehydration rather than risking my health by drinking out of a water foundation

@trinsec fair enough. I always wondered why 12 Days of Christmas was a song. Ends up Christmas is a "season" on the church calendar and what we call Christmas Day is just the first day of that season every year.

@trinsec The Twelve Days of Christmas starts on 12/25, goes until January 6, when epiphany begins. Church calendar, the year starts with advent.

Happy First day of Christmas! Eleven more to go.

@Moon @Mac_CZ I'm surprised at this, though I remember driving in Denver that day.

It wasn't just a traffic accident, I think a semi truck coming down from the mountains with no breaks with a driver who chose to not take the emergency exits on the way down for trucks with breaks out... Killed four people, injured many more, causing such a disaster that it destroyed the highway itself and many people's lives.

Anyone who drives down from the mountains into Denver knows those emergency pull offs. They look intimidating, because it looks like you have to drive off the highway, uphill into a sand pit and crash into several barrels of something, which will probably total your vehicle.... to prevent killing people on the highway at the bottom of the foothills.

Also I agree that 110 years seems like a lot.

@mrman @mhjohnson I also returned to the state after Thanksgiving. Have only worn a mask in Costco since, but have been trying to spend more in Douglas and Broomfield Counties which didn't implement a face suffocator rule.

Don't blame the pandemic for what the government does to you

Blame corruption and incompetence for that
