Our power was out for more than 12 hours with the blizzard that hit Denver metro yesterday. Glad our home has a wood burning fireplace because it's old enough to be grandfathered into the regulations that ban them.
I feel for those in newer homes where the only means of heat in a situation like this are outlawed.

Employee income stays the same as whole foods raises to $15/hour pay and slashes hours while requiring the same amount of work done in fewer hours.
So employees get paid the same for contributing the same value. They just have to do so faster now.
How is the same pay now a "livable wage"? It's almost like those demanding arbitrary raises to arbitrary dollar amounts per hour don't understand how this works.

Frosted conifers earlier this week. It was uncharacteristically foggy and (characteristically) freezing. Not sure if freezing fog is responsible for the cool way the snow formed or if it was just coincidence.
