Just 1000 words today.
We had no internet as there was a fault on the line, which should have meant I had less distractions, but I had a long nap instead.

So, I went to see the opera Werther today. Beautiful show, very well done.
But I forgot how exhausting being in a crowd of people is for me. I've been keeping my hermit ways for a couple of months now and damn that social anxiety is emotionally- and physically- exhausting. Coiled like a spring for two and a half hours is just tiring.
However, the friend I went with had never been to an opera before, so I got to share her first opera with her. That's special.
CWed for length. "Viral Math Problem?"
So, I tend to watch Youtube before I go to sleep and I often watch various videos on STEM topics. I also (As you can see) am a fan of gaming videos.
However, that's not the point here.
In what fucking world is 6/2(1+2) a VIRAL math problem? That's *simple fucking math*. Did no one learn the order of operations? Am I stupid here? We got the 1+2=3, 6/2=3, 3*3=9. Nine. The answer is Nine.
I had to watch it to make sure I wasn't stroking out. That there wasn't some deeper aspect to the question.
There is. Apparently the order of operations and current convention on math has changed since 1917. However, the crux of it seems that some people just don't understand how equations are formatted in modern mathematics.
Vacation has been good, so far, although I did let my anxiety get the better of me and have been more or less hiding in my apartment the entire time.
Luckily, tomorrow, I have a thing I can't skip and I'm really looking forward to. So, I'll get out and see what Friday evening Tel Aviv has to offer me.
Come on now, give me your best #environmental #documentaries, you'll help me get idea for some public screening we are planning to do
fail0verflow have continued their series of articles about PS4 hardware attacks titled 'PS4 Aux Hax', I covered part 1-3 in a previous story. This time they explore a stack buffer overflow bug in the HDMI encoder firmware when HDMI-CEC is enabled, accessed via I2C, IRQ lines while disabling HDMI encoder power switch access from syscon.

I have finished writing for the day, and even though I was low 500 words yesterday, I am ahead 100 today. I hope that will help with a good start tomorrow.
Right now I am at 5104 words.
I've been looking into Nintendo Switch hacking, and I've decided I'll wait for the new hardware revision to come out in 2019 before I hack my current Switch. That way, I'll still have access to normal content if/when that other console gets banned. Luckily, I know my hardware is unpatched, since it's a first gen Japanese model imported by some crafty Israeli company.
Okay, here is a demo! Everything in #mastoart:
https://mastodon.social/gallery/
Please mind that not safe for work images are displayed without warning in the gallery.
I made something for Mastodon: A gallery mini-app.
https://source.joinmastodon.org/Gargron/gallery
You can simply drop it in your Mastodon server's public folder, and it will show images from your server in a mosaic grid with infinite scroll. Supports some configuration as well, e.g. whether to limit it to only local images, or a specific hashtag, or which server to fetch from.
