I found this to be a fascinating perspective on ... perspective. The speaker does a great job of extending the analogy of physical dimensions to how we might think about social problems. I think it also applies well to considering the political beliefs of other people.
Perhaps they are seeing a circle and you are seeing a rectangle, while the reality is that you're both interacting with a cylinder.

I am not a great fan of modern buildings, though not from the material improvements but from the aesthetic. Also though, I find it odd the insistence on particular very costly materials for #listedbuildings in the UK. It was very much confirmed as ridiculous when a friend did a development which was built in 2018 and replicated a Georgian era mansion house right down to intricate reproduction plasterwork detailing and oak panelling. Someone from a historical society visiting apparently commented how he was surprised how clever it was to integrate all of the home automation and underfloor heating and triple glazed window features into such an old structure with such sensitivity. He seemed quite surprised to learn the house had been there less than a year.

I saw some Green Elf Cup (Chlorociboria aeruginascens) the other day. Usually these small fruiting bodies are rarely seen, but this fungi stains wood blue/green which can be spotted easily.

OK ... so I thought I'd figured out how to do a post that was public in the first one but the rest were unlisted. Obviously not .. .any guidance on what I did wrong (and how to change a toot to unlisted after it is up)?

Currently attending the virtual Disability & Science Journalism: Writing from Experience & Reporting on People with Disabilities panel discussion, and it’s wonderful. Especially given the number of poorly researched, harmful articles that frequently come out about #ChronicIllness and #LongCovid this is so validating and reassuring.
