So someone wrote a whole-ass thesis about #fandom #antishippers. It's a compelling read, describes a first-person experience of the birth of the movement, debunks current antishipper claims about #proshippers, and proves that they've always just made shit up to justify harassment over ships.

@bloodwrites The original instance I was on (that I had an account on since 2018) turned out to be owned by an anti (of a kind). I yoinked my account to a new instance. None of that shit. No watering down actual crimes. Yay incest shipping (Boondock Saints here).
@grantbogle You can but it doesn't seem like there's much action on many of them. At least on my instance under Follows and Subscriptions there's an option to follow hashtags and feeds from other instances.
I give up. There's thousands of #slash pieces involving my faves from #Inception. Nearly ten thousand. That's not including the weird side trends of Bane and John Blake, etc.
If you look at everything #KeanuReeves has done? It's not even half that. I'm seriously confused. I adore Hardy and #JGL (faves!) but this is a very weird #fandom quirk.

McMaster University Medical Centre is diverting many urgent surgical pediatric patients to adult sites due to PICU, ED, and inpatient pressures on staff. Kids >16 and over 50 kg will be affected.

@Sarahw @quay @indri This seems like concern trolling. I should hide any discussions of racism because a hypothetical Black woman might not want to read that? I’m sure Black women follow me on here and I’m pretty sure they are aware that I discuss racism. If this hypothetical Black woman didn’t want to read about racism I’m pretty sure she would just skip social media because BW are one of the most targeted groups around. Highlighting racism is a public good.
