I really don't need a comment to go along with this. But. I think it's important to share what having access to billions of dollars and being able to impose your will upon what was one of the biggest social media sites in the world.
Some people asked about donating money to #debirdify and the people who made it. We have enough money to run this service at the moment, so we would ask that you rather donate your money to a more worthy cause: e.g. your local Mastodon server or the Ukraine war relief efforts.

Life is such a tire fire with The Other Place feeling like the perpetual last day of summer camp, and work being a neverending flu and RSV mess. I just don't feel like posting anything science, medical, or too serious very often. I'll get back to sprinkling in outreach at some point. 
Also, I'm not sure what the "front door" of the fediverse should look like to onboard new folks.
But, this whole notion of "pick an interest" as a filter is really, really not working out IMO. It's giving entirely the wrong expectations to folks wandering in.
