In dinner, I am having 'Dal Pitha' . It is a traditional dish from Bihar, India. Ever since my childhood, it has been a part of my life even though i never once got to live in Bihar except for 1-2 weeks.
Made from rice flour filled with spicy lentils, boiled in water and then can be fried in oil or clarified butter. Some like to eat boiled ones, some prefer fried ones but both ways, they taste so great.
Hope you're having a great day/night.

@freemo it seems quite hard that you would find this dish outside India because even in India, not a lot of people know about it.
Yes, you surely need to come to India. We have a great diversity of food, you'll surely find something of your taste.
@_lunawinters I used to do a lot of traveling, but recovering from a surgery.
While I would love to see everything the indian culture has to offer it is one of those cultures where food is one of the biggest motivating factors to travel there. Same with china, I'd love to go there just for the food.
@freemo food connects people. In my building itself, we have people from different parts of India, it's just so sweet that we share our traditional food with each other.
My family is Hindu and our Security Guard is Muslim. On Eid , he invites us at his home and we all eat delicious food together.
@_lunawinters @freemo is it Gokuldham or what?🤔
@_lunawinters i agree, food is love. It keeps us alive, so its a way of sharing life, a way of saying "I am glad you are alive"
@_lunawinters This reminds me of savoury gujiya 🤩😋
PS: Keep the food pics coming pliss!
@Lord_VoldeMaut ah my love... Gujija. I wait for holi so impatiently.
@_lunawinters @Lord_VoldeMaut Those look delicious indeed. I can imagine a nice and spicy lentil filling, hot...
@_lunawinters lots of varieties and photos on Wikipedia.
@design_RG Pitha is filled with a wide range of fillings, including vegetables, jaggery, lentils etc.
@_lunawinters Looks amazing! I bet I'd love it. Never saw it on any menu but if i do I'm jumping on it.
I need to visit india just for the food sometime :)
