@thunderbird @killyourfm @freaktechnik @GitHub unluckily this year I cannot go (charlotte de witte calls :P)
But if you stay in Brussels after FOSDEM I would like to meet!
"Planisphère" by Justice is clearly the Bohemian Rhapsody of Electronic music.
@gbraad You sold it to me, I will surely buy it :P
@gbraad Héhé, I will surely like it, as I'm only using the default sampler from Bitwig.
The ableton sampler is quite good but bitwig's is lacking some important features like just non granular time-stretching (when using the sampler as a device, you can use good time-stretching algorithms when only working the sample out).
So many #music producers started following me because of my Toots, thanks!
I am following back so don't hesitate to update your bio ;)
I was thinking about doing #collab with people, it would be great to grow together. I am still a newbie but I think I could learn if I open my horizons to new people :)
@gbraad happy to know! actualy checking redux it seems like a great plugin, I will surely buy it
@gbraad Well, weird. In my case I did not buy redux so I cannot tell, but it's strange that they propose the demo version for #linux.
In any case, almost any windows vst that I tried works flawlessly on bitwig studio in my manjaro distro! If the plugin has to connect to the internet there are some steps more to do I guess.
@gbraad well, Redux is already available natively on Linux (https://www.renoise.com/download).
But with this script you can use the Windows version on Linux if that's what you want 😁
Live coding: a user's manual is out this week, published open access by MIT Press. I have my copy already, after many years it's real!
I just put up a placeholder website, and will upload the pdf, epub and mobi ebook files there on Tuesday, maybe making a web version. It'd be interesting if people started contributing edits, adding extra chapters etc..
The #musicproduction for #linux tip of the day!
You may notice that most Vst plugins are not compatible with Linux; however, Wine makes them work really well.
It may be a hassle to use Wine for some users, a non automated and exasperating.
yabridge will help you to seamlessly import your vsts to use directly in your DAW by just putting them in a folder and running one command!
It personally makes me win a lot of time and makes the plugins run almost natively in my pipeline :)
@utopiah Absolutely, end of december/january will be perfect :)

@utopiah wow thanks, I was EXACTLY looking for some work of twining in VR. I'll add this to the list of VR resources :)
Wow!
Anna Lapwood, a proficient organist, did a surprise appearance at one of Bonobo's concert at Royal Albert Hall.
Seeing how old and modern music mix to give a powerful performance is amazing. Tearful concert.
I would love to do a #gamejam in the future but I don't want to participate as a programmer.
I would like to try doing the music of a game one day. It would be an amazing experience as I have almost 0 knowledge about the subject.
If someone ever wants to do something like that, don't hesitate to contact me o/ The result will surely be rubbish but, hey, we never know.
@delunado Thanks! 😍
I remixed this song of Mystical Ninja 2 Starring Goemon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCrGFa213Dw

I am a PhD student at Université Libre de Bruxelles (@ULBruxelles@twitter.com) in Computer Science. I mainly work with GPUs and implement numerical simulations.
I am also a numerical simulation engineer at Altheria Solutions (@AltheriaTech@twitter.com) working on VR applications.
In my spare time I do some music (at least trying to).
