@obi Another similar option is Firefox Monitor, which integrates with Firefox's built-in password manager to automatically alert you if any saved account credentials were in a breach:

@jonjojojon looks like you're a university student right now---make sure to pick up as many physics courses on electromagnetism as you can stand, because for anything beyond the simplest circuits, board design always all boils down to E&M optimization. Having a good intuition for the physics behind it is a supremely valuable skill.
For fabbing any prototype designs you make, I've heard excellent things about @oshpark . Next time I'm ready to order some boards, I'm definitely using them.
Hello #Fediverse! We love PCBs and seeing what people make with them!
@imaginaryunit I'm generally a big fan of @PINE64 !
@AKK this thread has a lot of electronics people, perhaps a few will pique your interest:

Otherwise I'd say just lurk on those hashtags for a few days, make an interesting post or two on those subjects, and you'll naturally amass a decent amount pretty quickly. A lot of people are expanding their networks rapidly right now.
@sad_electronics Sure. Put this into a json in your colors folder: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/cQYEBmDa
@sad_electronics Altium-ish, hah. Though tbh I didn't have to change much. I suppose i can share my colorfile if anyone is interested.
For Quectel site, I just made an account with a throwaway email. I assume they'll send marketing there or whatever, but it let me download all the datasheets I needed without any fuss.
"Ask a programming question on the Web" is sometimes as difficult as doing the actual programming. Reducing a problem in complex real-world systems to an clean, minimal, answerable, reproducible example can take serious efforts.
Boss: "What have you done today?"
Programmer: "I asked a programming question online."
Did you know that @kicad nightly supports database libraries? I'm looking for more testers for this feature, especially those who have used this kind of feature in other software. Want to find the bugs before 7.0 is released!
@niconiconi @chabicht sounds like #OSHW is the solution here! Can't bury IP that's already flown the coop, after all. Though I suppose that might make Small Company less attractive for Big Company to buy in the first place... which removes the temptation for Small Founder to cash out anyways.
Working on a breakout #pcb for a little LTE modem right now. Hoping to make something extremely low-cost for #IoT development using one of these cheap NB-IoT chips coming out of Quectel lately. It's my first proper project using #kicad and I'm loving it so far! #tech #electronics
#TIL A few years ago, Wikimedia started its little academic journal WikiJournal of Science at its Wikiversity project. You can submit both Wikipedia articles and original research papers for peer review and publication. https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/WikiJournal_of_Science/The_aims_and_scope_of_WikiJournal_of_Science
Hi! I'm an #engineering #researcher at my day job, but this account is just for my own personal, unprofessional work. The hobbies I intend to share on here are all about #opensource hardware #oshw and software #foss, as well as any other #science or #tech I happen to come up with!
Not a refugee from That Bird Site (feel free to follow me as @axiopaladin there too tho!) just happened to spin up this account at a coincidental time, haha.
