@iron_bug there probably are good ones. i think the FSF doesn't do these things. the FSFE on the other hand is pretty much as corrupt as it gets.

today i looked a bit into the climate change people here in germany. it's a completely corrupt system. NGOs with sub-divisions who are hired for consulting by the goverment. NGOs financed directly by the EU and german government. NGOs financed by foundations receiving state funds. NGOs making money from cease&desist racketeering. ALL the people know each other and give their hell spawn high ranking jobs in these NGOs. it's "NGOs" all the way down. the mafia would pale in comparison.

at the same time they create money via artificial inflation, devaluing everyones money in the process. another tax if you want.

all done to finance apparatchiks and bullshit endless wars, killing generations of young men (and women in recent history), just to stick it to whoever is the evil enemy today. maybe just as convenient means for population control.

and now you want to violently rob a handful of rich people because you are plain jealous.

instead of doing away with the giant oppression machine, you lift the machine to godlike status. the only solution ever imaginable is feeding the machine. steadily chipping away any remainders of freedom you had.

rich people never robbed me. rich people didn't prevent me from going to the hardware store because i didn't have the right injection. they will also not send me to war over bullshit, killing people who well could be my friends.

billionaires don't threaten my life, freedom and property or the life life freedom and property of my family, friends or neighbors.

so no, i certainly won't participate in your racketeering attempts.

maybe it's a phenomenon not many others are affected by, but huge lists overload my brain. is that what you mean by rat trap? i can't decide what really looks interesting, it's too much information. not only these awesome lists, it's _any_ list with more than 10-15 items. just zaps my brain in a weird kind of way.

@icedquinn i found them either to be like my browsers bookmarks, a list where everything of remote interest goes into, or a list of things everyone knows already. might be that i'm overly pessimistic about these things though ;)

@icedquinn i never have found anything good on awesome lists. they only exist to farm stars on github.
