Fairly OT, but I don't really understand why server silencing can't be opted-out by the user AFAIK. (As opposed to, say, server suspension, which I sort of get why users can't opt-out of.) (Aside from no one implementing the feature, I guess.)

On the Fedilab app, it defaults to blurring out "sensitive media".

Now, when it comes to gifs / videos, if I load it and then close it, it does not stop moving, and the whole "blurry thing doing blurry stuff" feels sorta ecchi in its own way :P

The hardest part about watching seasonal anime, is having to say goodbye to the characters and the worlds of those seasonals cause

The biggest obstacle for me to remembering these shortcuts is probably my 60% keyboard :P

I still have to use conventional keyboards quite often though, so I should probably make an effort to remember / use these :)

@0x00 @holot @p @koyu All of the tyrant laws were, and ostensibly are, one-time measures. Congress just keeps extending it. Why not? They're corrupt to the bone.
ipv6 is funny, it's been in development for like 30 years or smth? And still barely anyone uses it

These days, we need more servers where people can talk to each other, like #mumble and #jitsi.

If you are part of a self-hosting collective, or do sysadmin stuff, consider setting one up: link2xt just published this useful #docker file for mumble:

100%. If you scan china's ip address using Nmap, you can find IP address of mostly
security cameras. Usually with default or "chinese style" passwords.

A (pretty long) while ago my computer was making these weird noises. Turned out a cheap chasis fan somehow had the blades scraping against the case. Ended up throwing some foam tape on it :P

Interestingly, the nosiest component in my computer now seems to be a HGST hard drive. Apparently those are, even under normal conditions, loud as hell.

@casualwp Because they are cold blooded, they slow down in cold weather.

Used to be on AnimeTorrents but my account seemed to have been deleted due to inactivity :/
