My arrived! (A few days before it was scheduled to!)

I apparently ordered the "DIY" version, which I'd forgotten, but the DIY part was just sliding in the SSD and RAM, and was trivially easy.

For a laptop this thing is an absolute DREAM!

Installing turned out to require a Windows machine (mine's broken; that's why I bought this one!) and a USB key, but turns out my son had both conveniently to hand).

All going great so far! Hid away and installed , now updating various "drivers".

Extremely funny to see "c:\Windows\system32" in the header of the little shell the drivers installs pop up.

More like System64, amIrite?

doings are going well; driver bundle installed great and keyboard and touchpad are behaving.

(well, the viewer) worked fine in a quick test, two-monitor support seamless, plugging in the Ethernet works. WoW is downloading at like 12MB/s, so we'll be able to test that eventually. :)

The "WhatsApp" "App" for "Windows" seems to have crashed hard enough that I can't run it again, but really that's for ya.

I see no one has fixed the old familiar "launching has no apparent effect, but does lead to a whole shedload of running Battle.net tasks" situation.

Nice that some things never change.

Now is working!

Coulda sworn all those became mortal an expansion or two ago. But here they are again! I expect I'll eventually stumble on the relevant ...

Good Zod, it must have been forever since I played . Or they've just completely rejiggered the interface with this expansion. What's all this, then? XD
