Metatext on iOS was by far the most recommended, and is quite good. Highly configurable, and rock-solid.

Things I’m still hoping for in future clients:
- Notification aggregation (like the Twitter like/RT facepile)
- Better reply threading and context in the home timeline
- Delightful interface touches. I’m spoiled by @tapbots; their apps aren’t just functional, they bring joy

There is one type of cybersecurity person who drives me absolutely crazy, might-just-block.gif, and it is the one who looks at any friendly and sociable internet trend that involves something that could be potentially used as a password reset question (no, I'm not talking about the fuckery like tricking people into posting their credit cards), and ruins the fun. They are the Fun Ruiner Pedant (tm).

"Don't talk about your favorite foods!"

"Don't talk about movies you like!"

"Don't talk about important moments on in your life!"

"Don't post your mom's obit, it has her maiden name!"

It's not peoples' fault that password reset methodology is fundamentally flawed, archaic, and ridiculously insecure. That's our problem to fix. And for god's sakes, everybody in infosec social spheres already knows their threat model around this information. Those are totally normal things for human beings to talk about in friendly conversation. So let's get to fixing the problems by making account security questions and processes less utterly ridiculous. It's almost 2023.
