Discourse just released a major update and I'm 100% dead serious when I say it's phenomenal and feels like using a good 2004-era PHPbb forum, but updated for today's social interactions.

Honestly, I wish every company, newsletter, website, etc, would stop using Slack and Discord for fans and instead adopt Discourse, having organized topics and threads is so much better than an endless chat stream that scrolls off into nowhere instantly.

Ooh, interesting! How can you tell? Are the hallucinations significantly different from the real info? I probably haven't used it as much as you have, but I've found that I can't tell if it's correct in general, unless I already know, or check it for myself elsewhere.

"relevant details you never heard of", but that might be completely made up, yes? Do you go and check them all?

So I finally got tired of PLEASE SWIPE CARD AGAIN, and signed up for . Which meant turning Near Field Communication on, on my phone, but it has "only when phone is unlocked", which I can live with.

A nice feature.

Eventually we'll all be walking around with dozens of random open all the time, but I can resist a little...

Finished Cold People, I give it ⭐⭐⭐️ A curiously old-fashioned #sciencefiction novel about WHAT IF SCIENTISTS GO TOO FAR??? Now started on something completely different - The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O’Farrell #AmReading #Books #bookstodon

@RufuScott
I'd say avoid it unless you're willing to put a lot of effort into climbing the learning curve; it's famously long and steep. Or if you actively enjoy spreadsheets and long grinds. XD

Anthony James' work with mirrors is amazing. On the surface, the premise is simple: opposing 2-way mirrors in various angles or set parallel, but the effect and execution is incredible

The Northern Central Grain Elevator in Baltimore once was the largest grain terminal on the East Coast of the United States. Inside was a maze of pipes and some of the foulest water I've ever encountered, possibly an unholy, decades-old dirt-beer from whatever was left inside.

It's not "scared" to take sensible safety precautions. If they tried a violent insurrection once, they'll try it again. No need to make it easier for them.

Hello. I’ve been a bit sporadic on here recently. Apologies. Posting the Calanais Standing Stones for today’s #PhotoOfTheDay We’ve visited a number of times and are always in awe. Go if you get the chance. They’re older than Stonehenge and you can still touch them.. #Scotland #ScottishHighlandsAndIslands #history #StandingStones #calanais
