I’ve been experimenting with following back everyone who follows me as best as I can. The experiment has been a huge success—and is no longer an experiment: I’ve had a richer feed and more diverse experience because of it. I’m now going to try to follow anyone who favorites or boosts too; it’s clear this place depends on cross-connection for discovery in a way that Twitter and other platforms only hint at. There’s no easy way to find content on Mastodon other than to be exposed to it by people.

My team at work just launched new research on the #TwitterMigration: We analyze which platforms are growing - especially #Mastodon, #Tumblr & #Post.

We look at which sites users are adding to their Twitter bios, posting to their friends about & downloading apps for.

Just finished Rachel Maddow's outstanding podcast, #Ultra" about a plot by Nazis and some prominent Americans, including members of Congress, to get America to sympathize with Nazis before/during WWII. The series draws parallels with today without beating you over the head with them. Good, scary stuff, and a reminder that #fascism must be fought everywhere, all the time.
