I'm a hardcore, decades-long meditator, with three grad degrees related to its study ... but I like what I call the Beavis and Butthead approach to working with difficulties in meditation:

Butthead says: "This sucks."
And Beavis says: "Yeah, cool."

A rather less flip version is of that is Thich Nhat Hanh's, "Put your arm around your difficulty" and "Take good care of it."

And example might be the arising of anger: put your arm around it ... look into it ... take good care of it.

Awesome Collection of #computerscience references, mainly related to #programming #languages. Some of the texts can be found inside the #digital #library of the #acm and, as one might imagine, there are gems that are worth reading. I specially recommend the Axiomatic Basis for #computer #programming by #Hoare and The next 700 programming languages by Landin.

Exeter Cathedral has a 14th century door that is mentioned as an entrance for cats. From 1305 cathedral accounts show an allowance for quarterly payments of 13 pence “to the custors and the cats” (custoribus et cato, if you’re doing it in Latin).
