Didn't realize my wireless plan capped tethering speeds, but now it makes sense. When your phone gets ~10-15 mbps and your tethered computer gets .5 or .6 consistently, you know they're screwing w/ the service you paid for.

Welp, I'm ashamed it took me this long to realize, but changing the TTL on my computer seems to have released the throttling.

@FtRupertTed Exactly, and how we find some of these KOOL folks. Business like accounts, celeb accounts, fan accounts, one themed accounts, never interested me. I have RSS news readers, I don't need CBC to tweet the news I already know. But if they engage (which some reporters do) I will follow them. Otherwise, I have no interest in accounts that just fill the fediverse up with stuff. I can get that in a Google search. I want real people. Real events. real concerns. No algorithms @SusanHR @rolle

I think Trump's Proud Boys statement needs to be read in full. Most people forget the very next sentence, which I think is an explicit call to arms
