Survivorship bias anyone? Don't listen to rich people who tell you how to become rich.

Survivorship bias or survival bias is the logical error of concentrating on the people or things that made it past some selection process and overlooking those that did not, typically because of their lack of visibility. This can lead to false conclusions in several different ways. It is a form of selection bias.

Read the due baby in your introduction. Congratulations to you and your wife!
I am reading and watching a lot about education and that.
I am pretty sure you know this but if not: Give children the chance to explore what's fun or interesting to them and the rest will be fine <3

@Nyoei @freemo Six for me. I can't sleep so early >.>

You go catch some sheep

@commandelicious @freemo I think you were talking to Freemo, but if I am ever in Germany, I would make a point of looking you up if you were willing. I like you, always have:) I should probably sleep now. I have to be up in seven hours:(

@freemo @Nyoei
Seriously, if that route leads you through the north-western part, stop at least for an hour and have a beer with me :D

@commandelicious time

I'm something of an Absurdist philosophically. That school of thought really jives with the way my brain works.

@Nyoei

@freemo @Nyoei
Aaaaaand my favourite topic: We have so much variety because germany (as well as all other european nations, and the US as well) are a whole conglomerate of cultures.

@commandelicious Well to be fair it would never make it to the surface of the sun. It would be absorbed and reemmited countless times before that energy hand a chance to make its way out :)

@freemo A photon created by fusion in the centre of the sun takes a million years to the surface of the sun!
(I learnt that by watching Harald Lesch. That's our Neil deGrasse Tyson)

Interesting

The human body generates heat at a rate significantly higher than an equal volume of the Sun.

Mine is "Ambivalence in all Things"
I don't know if this is already something that exists and I don't care that much.
My honest opinion is, that one should never be sure about something.
Yes I like to collect facts and knowledge, but I need those, as well as my faith challanged.
The scientific method is the greatest thing we ever came up with!

Remember the gravitational waves?

Prof Rana Adhikari is a hero of mine. People like that make science fun.

News of the day: I extended a node package (nquery / github) to enable it to parse more of the SQL that is actually used in my apps. Nquery is great but a little to narrower minded.
75% of my queries now parse ok.
I think after I add the syntax for case/when/else I'll be closer to 90%...
