What features people would most like to see on Mastodon or a Fediverse social app -- either for themselves or to get friends who are not yet here to adopt the platform? I set up an open, unofficial Google Doc as a way to collect ideas -- please add and share! docs.google.com/document/d/1En

(There's an official Github feature request forum linked in the doc that actually reaches Team Mastodon -- this is intended to be a more open/brainstormy space.)

@gamingonlinux There is an entire market for them which would beg to differ. But setting aside NFTs (the low-hanging fruit of Blockchain applications), the Blockchain tech itself could have some really interesting applications for gaming. I am particularly interested in the idea of in-game permanence and long-term tracking of a players impact on a living world.

nurses, is it true that you have no access to free coffee at your workplace?

We need activists in the same way we need rainy days. They serve a valuable purpose and sometimes, if they're warm enough, you might even be able to appreciate them.

@MetalheadDana It's honestly a fascinating and nuanced subject to me. There is a cultural divide in the workplace between those like yourself and those who, conversely, need / want to introduce positive social dynamics into their work life.

I really don't like ReactJS. It might be the best we have but that's not great. It feels like stacks and stacks of hacks to compensate for poorly planned architecture decisions -- a lot like JavaScript really.

I once worked for a company that had a Hawaiian Shirt Day completely unironically, as though none of them had ever even seen Office Space.

"In a win for workplace dignity, a French high court recently decreed that businesses cannot force their employees to participate in supposedly enjoyable activities."

Power to the People?...

@MakBerberovic@kolektiva.social
Woh! All of these are new to me. Thanks. I've got some research to do.

@Marcducharme@mstdn.ca
Already on there! I chose Sober and Forty Six and Two

@Marcducharme@mstdn.ca Hmmm. Vivid, their most well-known alum came out in 1989. If you were going to pick a notable track released after 1990, what would it be?

Because I have been strolling down memory lane into 90s , this beautiful thing came up and I can think of no better representation of the era:

open.spotify.com/track/1158cki

I am putting together a large list of the best 90s for a thing called . What should I definitely have on there?
