So I've been secretly in a cold war with some weird crypto bros for like 6 months now, and worryingly in the last couple days it's looking like they've won. They wanted my Instagram handle, and somehow they've now got it. Without my consent. And it's kinda scary. Strap in for a toot storm (is that what we call it?) [1/16]

People at my workplace this week were making jokes about Drum 'n' Bass being harsh. Ironically, there was a facebook discussion about some of the most beautiful / haunting and Drum 'n' Bass tracks throughout the genre's history on one of my Facebook groups. I compiled some of the songs that were nominated into a single playlist of the most beautiful, haunting and classic Drum 'n' Bass tracks.

@eecastro Where were you 8 years ago when we enrolled our daughter in a private school that followed a tailored learning program?!

I've got that feeling like you're driving your car through a car wash. The only difference is it's my house.

I recently read something about how all our energy crises could be addressed cheaply, safely and sustainably by gravity drives installed in old mines. What I didn't read was any mention of anyone actually getting started on this.

Also, it's clear that the author never saw Event Horizon.

I finally found the youtube comment on Headhunter by Front 242!! I've been combing the comments for it for forever. #IndustrialMusic #EBM

I watched "To Leslie" last night and ... wow ... that's a performance that deserves an win.

Unpopular Opinion: I have no idea why everyone raves about "Everything Everywhere all at Once". For me, it was a 2 hour version of the "Turn Down for What" video with a ridiculous premise and some low-brow body humour thrown in.

There's something really odd about this one...

Not sure if I am missing a joke or if de Adder messed up on his scaling in Illustrator.

@paul@dasmirnov.net I am now starting to see why mine grew so fast and quickly become costly and untenable.

I just read a review for a television show which said "It doesn't punch down to religion." It struck me as a completely irrational assertion. Is it even possible to *punch down* to one of the most powerful cultural institutions in every society across the planet?

I don't feel any particular need to abandon but my tweets there are getting fewer naturally as becomes increasingly populated with interesting folks. I will admit, however, that Elon's recent decision to close the API to third party apps, has made it significantly less interesting to me as a user and as a .

It's going to get scary.

"Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University were able to create full-body images of subjects using simple Wi-Fi routers. The technology could revolutionize healthcare, security, gaming, imaging, and many other industries. However, it could present many privacy issues as the technology can monitor people's movements through walls without their knowledge or consent. The technique involves analyzing the amplitude and phase of Wi-Fi signals to find interference and then using AI algorithms to produce an image."

@Aetous @gamingonlinux This is a common refrain but not entirely true. Yes, you can technically achieve record-keeping with a low-cost database transaction. But that misses the entire point of Blockchain. It's not a 'better database'. It brings singularity, security, built-in integrity, decentralization, and (when done right) independence of the product and data from the originating developer.
