I wish more people who are worried about FOSS supply side attacks would realize that universal basic income and free healthcare would result in an almost infinite stream of excellent software from people who care more about quality than profit.

@rozeboosje Short snippets for SQL queries work great with . So my assumption was, there is a level to increase performance.

When reviewing code from team members that has a new code style, it is often AI generated stuff copy and pasted. Which makes the code review slower (but the development probably faster).

The main quote from the article for me is that they have been looking on the **output**, and not the subjective feeling of each developer. And this output is not increased. Strange but obviously true.

@pluralistic Since I started using RSS to keep up to date with my YouTube subscriptions, I notice that I've become increasingly intentional and deliberate in what I watch. Youtube.com is designed to keep you browsing listlessly in order to show you more ads. RSS means I only watch what I'm actually interested in.

@mrblissett that is a sad story. But good that the case was reopened.

Lets hope the dark patterns decline over time.

Devs gaining little (if anything) from AI coding assistants | CIO

"Many developers say AI coding assistants make them more productive, but a recent study set forth to measure their output and found no significant gains. Use of GitHub Copilot also introduced 41% more bugs, according to the study from Uplevel, a company providing insights from coding and collaboration data."

"Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot made a big splash at the company’s We, Robot event this week, and several were spotted interacting with guests."

Later news say that inside the robot there was an actor, how stupid is that 😂 😂 😂

@dhry @dhry @dhry Thank you for your reply. My translation program gives me "vault" as "Tresor" in my mother tongue, which implies there needs to be a key for accessing the contents, but there are other translations as well.

I found out that there is a extension for encrypting the local vault. As I want to encrypt locally, I'll give that a try.

Go to My Places / Tracks, tap on the track. Then tap on the pencil icon, this will enter edit mode. Zoom to the location you want to edit. If you zoom in close enough you will see blue circles. Tap on the blue circle where you want to trim/split the track. A menu will open allowing you to trim and split the track. Here you can also move track points or add additional points.

Is it me or is my feed so much fuller of new stuff.

When I started a year or two ago, it was quite slowly progressing.

What an advancement!
